Move 6 of the roadmap: grow your income
“All I know is my job.”
Let’s fix that sentence.
You build trust quickly. You explain hard things under pressure. You help people say yes to decisions they’ve been avoiding. Outside your job, those skills have names, and side incomes and small businesses are built on them.
Takes about two minutes. Then get the free roadmap, with all six money moves in order.
The translation
Same skills. New language.
Calm a nervous customer or new hire before you’ve done a thing for them
Client care. The reason people hire one freelancer over another.
Explain something complicated to someone who’s scared of it, without one word of jargon
Teaching. The heart of courses, books, guides and content.
Get a yes on a decision someone has postponed twice, without pressure
Ethical sales. Every business sells something. Yours will sell honestly.
Say the same message a hundred ways until one finally lands
Messaging. What content creators, marketers and authors do all day.
Keep accurate records, every day, with no one checking
Process discipline. Templates, systems and the consulting businesses badly need.
Keep the schedule on time when two things go wrong at once
Operations. Running a business, on an ordinary Tuesday.
Talk an angry customer down, and keep them
Service recovery. A skill many businesses struggle to find.
Recommend the thing everyone ends up buying
Trusted recommendations. The foundation of reviews, content and affiliate income.
You were never “just” your job title. You were cross-trained.
Your strengths
Which of these sounds most like you?
There’s no wrong answer. This just points you to the kind of side income worth testing first, once Moves 1 to 5 are in motion.

- Plain-English tax basics for side income
Why I made this
After twenty years in a hands-on job and a carpal tunnel diagnosis, I had to answer “what else could I do?” for myself. The honest answer was: more than I thought. This page is the short version. The roadmap is the long one.
Aaron
Is this a career test?
Not exactly. Career tests point you to jobs. This points you to ways of adding income with skills you already have.
What if I picked the “wrong” card?
You can’t. Every card leads to the same full roadmap. Your pick just tells you which side income to test first, and you can change your mind anytime.
Should I start a side income before fixing my debt?
Often the two happen together. The roadmap puts it last in the order so new income goes to the buffer and high-interest debt first, instead of disappearing.
Does my degree or job title matter?
Not for most side incomes. Some services need specific training or a license, and the roadmap flags them.
Will you sell me something?
The roadmap is free. If I add paid courses later, you’ll always know exactly what something is before you buy it.
